GES UK supplied the external floor coverings and internal media pavilion—a suite of offices custom fitted into the main grandstand—for the Eton Dorney event at the Olympics. The venue setup included the installation of lounges, kitchens, and suspended ceilings. This event was referred to as the “best Olympic regatta ever” by the president of the rowing federation.
At the Exhibition Centre London (ExCeL) for the Olympics, GES UK delivered the full temporary overlay of the entire venue including specialist services such as electrical mains and distribution, installation of over 800 rigging points, retail units, acoustic and sports walling, custom structures and drapes.

FCC Environment’s goal was to engage and educate consumers on their five complex lines of business. The GES UK team designed a booth featuring a pod for each line of business, allowing the staff to fully demonstrate their services in a customer-friendly manner.
GES UK supplied and laid over 145,000 sq ft of flooring in a challenging waterside environment. Timing was critical as it needed to be changed between events and overnight, allowing athletes to run barefoot across the carpet.
Our UK team created an innovative 1000-seat, tiered amphitheater with a center stage for the Bett show. Attendees could easily learn about the latest technology used in the education industry with an unobstructed view from all sides.
FE is a British paper focused on education. For their booth at the Skills Show, our GES UK team built them a sustainable booth they could easily store and reuse after the show.

Produce Marketing Association Extends Contract with GES through 2014

GES Selected for its Commitment to Helping Exhibitors Maximize Their Return on Investment

LAS VEGAS – June 3, 2010 – GES, a leading provider of exhibition, event and retail marketing services today announced that Produce Marketing Association (PMA) has extended its long-term partnership for an additional five years. The new agreement includes PMA’s annual Fresh Summit International Convention & Exposition and PMA’s annual Foodservice Conference & Exposition.

“GES continues to be an important long-term partner in the success of our shows, and PMA is very pleased to extend our agreement for an additional five years,” said PMA Vice President, Meetings & Trade Shows, Kent Allaway. “The GES team’s commitment to successfully planning and executing a very challenging show, as well as the team’s dedication to working closely with us to maximize our exhibitors’ return on investment, is a winning combination.”

PMA’s expositions are unique in that the fresh produce and floral items displayed at these shows – many of which are quite delicate and have short shelf lives – require careful storage and handling. This necessitates detailed planning and execution in the careful removal of produce and floral at the end of each show day, meticulous storage of the items overnight – often at specific temperatures – and delivery of the items to each exhibitor before the show opens each morning.

“GES is honored to extend our partnership with PMA, one of the fastest growing exhibitions in North America,” said GES Executive Vice President, Chief Sales Officer – Exhibitions, Jeff Quade. “The powerful, more than 25-year partnership between GES and PMA has resulted in successful shows, and we look forward to working with PMA and its exhibitors to enhance the service GES provides, including budgeting tips and exhibiting trends.”

The 2010 PMA Fresh Summit International Convention & Exposition will be held October 15 - 18 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. The 2010 PMA Foodservice Conference & Exposition will take place July 30 - August 1 in Monterey, Calif.
