At this year’s American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) event, our exhibition management team transformed a 24,565 sq. ft. hotel ballroom into an experience.
We used over 15,000 lbs of materials for the show. Handling was mainly done through placing the materials on pallet jacks and transporting them via forklifts.
In preparing to create the miniature soccer field inside the exhibit hall, our team laid 5,000 feet of Visqueen material to cover and protect the flooring and carpet.

The American Youth Soccer Association holds tri-section meetings regularly throughout the year. Their first section meeting in 2012 was held at the Marriot Hotel in Anaheim, CA.
As a relatively small show with only 45 exhibitors, the AYSO event required design elements that were both visually pleasing as well as cost-effective. This 9 x ½ meter entrance unit was made from foamcore and served to set a grand tone for the small yet important show.
The floor was divided into several parts—the exhibit hall itself, multiple rooms for breakout sessions and a reception hall in the lobby. AYSO also hosted a silent auction featuring the items on the high tables throughout the event.
SCORE, the official uniform provider for AYSO, had a 50 x 40 feet booth featuring apparel, breakout tables and video stations promoting their latest gear.
As a unique addition to the exhibit hall, a 50 x 100 feet miniature soccer field was constructed. Coaches and show personnel hosted engaging attendee activities on the field throughout the day.
Successfully servicing more than 45 exhibitors during the three-day event, GES and AYSO started off 2012 with a great show.

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE EXHIBITION to be extended

Exhibition a hit amongst children and families

Singapore – February 2, 2012 – The Chronicles of Narnia: The Exhibition, which is currently on display at the skating rink at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, is fast becoming a popular hotspot for children and adults alike. Due to the exhibition’s popularity and demand for tickets, the exhibition will be extended until 26 February 2012.

The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Exhibition

Since opening on 3 December 2011, thousands of visitors have entered the world of Narnia, which offers young and old alike a world of adventure, inspired by the legendary C.S. Lewis. This exhibition has proved to be a huge success and has given visitors a chance to relive their favorite moments from the Narnia films through the use of authentic movie props and interactive displays.

All proceeds from exhibition ticket sales go to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, as part of Marina Bay Sands’ commitment to support the youth of Singapore. The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund helps children from low-income families pay for a meal at recess, transport fees to and from school, and stationery.

“Since opening the exhibition in December, we have received very positive feedback from the guests. Given the continued success of the exhibit, we have decided to extend the run to allow more fans an opportunity to relive the magic of Narnia,” said Mr. George Tanasijevich, president and chief executive officer of Marina Bay Sands and the managing director of Global Development for Las Vegas-based Sands Corp. “We will continue to donate all the proceeds from ticket sales to help the children sponsored by The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund. This important program supports over 10,000 primary and secondary school students with their education-related expenses, and we are delighted that we can contribute towards the great work.”

The exhibition is produced by Global Experience Specialists, Inc. (GES) in partnership with Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media. Based on C.S. Lewis’ beloved fictional books and blockbuster film series, the state-of-the-art entertainment and educational experience offers visitors the opportunity to tour scenes from the famed literary world of Narnia. Through authentic costumes, props and set dressings from the magical Narnia films, visitors will enter a three dimensional world that combines the wonders of science with aspects of fantasy.

Visitors to the exhibition will view items from the author C.S. Lewis' personal study and experience exciting environments, such as the attic made famous by Lucy, the youngest of the four Pevensie siblings. Once inside the world of Narnia, visitors will encounter interactive and instructive elements including:

  • A replica of the White Witch's Throne where visitors can sit on the icy seat and feel the chill. A nearby display describes the impact of climate change on our planet and investigates whether our planet could be frozen for 100 years, like the world of Narnia.
  • An area featuring King Miraz's Castle from the Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, where visitors have the opportunity to build an arch while learning about the architectural structure and strategy involved in the design.
  • An area highlighting the mythical creatures of Narnia, which allows visitors to create their own creatures featured in the film. Three stacks of rotating, square blocks stand in three, four and six-foot configurations, each level featuring different aspects of a creature. By rearranging the different levels, visitors can create well-known characters from the Narnia films or mix and match the squares to create new characters.
