How We Support Organizers

At GES, we’re committed to transforming the events industry by integrating sustainable practices that reduce waste, lower carbon emissions, and support eco-friendly operations. We know that both exhibitors and show organizers face challenges in minimizing environmental impact—and that’s why we’ve developed comprehensive strategies built around the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

Reduce

Our sustainable initiatives focus on reducing waste and carbon emissions through:

  • Optimized carpet and signage placement and early graphics approvals, we minimize excess materials and costs.
  • The “Pack In, Pack Out” policy encourages exhibitors to clear all materials post-event.
  • Integrated booth packages streamline exhibits, graphics, and shipping, cutting down on transportation needs and lowering emissions.

Reuse

We implement impactful practices to repurpose event equipment and supplies by:

  • Designing and storing reusable, high-quality signage, the reliance on single-use materials is minimized.
  • Collaborating with show organizers and local programs to enable donations of unused furniture, food, and supplies, effectively reducing landfill waste.
  • Encouraging eco-friendly solutions like multi-use carpeting and zero-to-landfill alternatives, while upcycling materials.
Recycle

Our recycling initiatives prioritize reducing environmental impact while maintaining exceptional experiences. We advocate for second-life products like eco-board, sustainable fabrics, and zero-to-landfill carpet alternatives that are either recycled or recyclable. Collaborating with convention centers and hotels, we proactively align with local waste reduction ordinances, ensuring our practices are both considerate and effective.

How We Support Exhibitors

Exhibitor sustainability involves implementing eco-friendly practices to minimize environmental impact during events. This includes using sustainable materials, such as eco-friendly fabrics for booth designs and reusable signage, to reduce reliance on single-use products.

Reduce

We actively educate exhibitors on adopting eco-friendly practices, such as designing booths with sustainable materials like custom-branded graphics on eco-friendly fabrics and adhering to “Pack In, Pack Out” policies. Additionally, we promote smart material choices by encouraging the use of eco-board for non-structural graphics instead of foam core, effectively reducing waste and environmental impact.

Reuse

We advocate for sustainability by promoting the use of durable, reusable textiles, such as multi-use carpets and fabric table drapes, to minimize waste. Additionally, our furniture rental services help lower carbon emissions by consolidating shipments and reducing the demand for new materials.

Recycle

GES emphasizes sustainability through the strategic use of repurposed resources, including sustainable signage substrates, refurbished structures, and other second-life products. Additionally, by collaborating with facilities to align with local waste reduction standards, we empower show organizers to make eco-friendly and informed decisions throughout the event planning process.
